A digital subscriber line (DSL) modem is a device used to connect a computer or router to a telephone line which provides the digital subscriber line service for connectivity to the Internet, which is often called DSL broadband. The term DSL modem is technically used to describe a modem which connects to a single computer, through an Ethernet Port, USB port, or is installed in a computer PCI slot. The more common DSL router is a standalone device that combines the function of a DSL modem and a router, and can connect multiple computers through multiple Ethernet ports or an integral wireless access point. Also called a residential gateway, a DSL router usually manages the connection and sharing of the DSL service in a home or small office network.

The MacBook Pro (sometimes abbreviated MBP)[1] is a line of Macintosh portable computers introduced in January 2006 by Apple Inc., now in its third generation. Replacing the PowerBook G4, the MacBook Pro was the second model to be announced in the Apple–Intel transition, after the iMac. It is the high-end model of the MacBook family and is currently produced with 13- and 15-inch screens. A 17-inch version was available for sale in April 2006.

The PlayStation 3 (abbreviated to PS3) is a home video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, formerly Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the successor to PlayStation 2, and is part of the PlayStation brand of consoles. It competed with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. It was first released on November 11, 2006, in Japan,[8] November 17, 2006 in North America, and March 27, 2007 in Europe and Australia.[9][10][11]

The Xbox 360 is a home video game console developed by Microsoft. As the successor to the original Xbox, it is the second console in the Xbox series. The Xbox 360 competed with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

The PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld game console developed by Sony.[6] Development of the console was announced during E3 2003,[7] and it was unveiled on May 11, 2004, at a Sony press conference before E3 2004.[8] The system was released in Japan on December 12, 2004,[9] in North America on March 24, 2005,[10] and in the PAL region on September 1, 2005.[11] It primarily competed with the Nintendo DS, as part of the seventh generation of video games.

The Nikon D3100 is a 14.2-megapixel DX format DSLR Nikon F-mount camera announced by Nikon on August 19, 2010. It replaced the D3000 as Nikon's entry level DSLR. It introduced Nikon's new EXPEED 2 image processor and was the first Nikon DSLR featuring full high-definition video recording with full-time autofocus and H.264 compression, instead of Motion JPEG compression. It was also the first Nikon DSLR to provide high-definition video recording at more than one frame rate.[3] Use is assisted by two Guide Modes: Easy Operation and Advanced Operation tutorial. On April 19, 2012, the D3200 superseded the D3100 as Nikon's entry-level DSLR.[4]

The Sony HVR-Z1 is a professional, broadcast quality, HDV camcorder. It is popular for producers of documentaries and other television programs because of its small size and relatively low cost. It records in 1080i. It uses the DV recording format however it can record in DV, DVCAM and HDV versions of the format. It can also record in PAL (25 frames) and NTSC (30 frames).

The LG G Pad 8.3 (also known as LG G Tab 8.3) is an 8.3-inch (21 cm) Android-based tablet computer produced and marketed by LG Electronics.[2] It belongs to the LG G series, and was announced on 4 September 2013 and launched in November 2013. Unlike its predecessor which had an 8.9-inch (23 cm) screen, the G Pad 8.3 has a smaller 8.3-inch (21 cm) screen.

A tablet computer, commonly shortened to tablet, is a thin, flat mobile computer with a touchscreen display, which in 2016 is usually color, processing circuitry, and a rechargeable battery in a single device. Tablets often come equipped with sensors, including digital cameras, a microphone, and an accelerometer. The touchscreen display uses the recognition of finger or stylus gestures to replace the mouse, trackpad and keyboard used in laptops. They usually feature on-screen, pop-up virtual keyboards for typing and inputting commands. Tablets may have physical buttons for basic features such as speaker volume and power, and ports for plugging in network communications, headphones and battery charging. Tablets are typically larger than smartphones or personal digital assistants with screens 7 inches (18 cm) or larger, measured diagonally.[1][2][3][4] Tablets have Wi-Fi capability built in so that users can connect to the Internet and can have cellular network capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a line of upper mid-range Android-based tablet computers produced by Samsung Electronics. It is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note series except without the Samsung S-Pen stylus.[1] The first model in the series, the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, was first introduced on 2 September 2010 at the IFA in Berlin.[2] Since then there have been several models released, including models with 7.7, 8.9 and 10.1-inch displays. The Wi-Fi versions of the tablet all include a GPS system whilst the 3G/4G tablets include cellular capability as well.

The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus (stylized as iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus) are smartphones designed by Apple Inc. The devices were announced on September 9, 2015, at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco by Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook. The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus jointly serve as successors to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus of 2014 and were the flagship devices of the iPhone series until September 7, 2016 when they were replaced by the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.[15] The iPhone 6S has a similar design to the 6 but updated hardware, including a strengthened chassis and upgraded system-on-chip, a 12-megapixel camera, improved fingerprint reader, and LTE Advanced support. The iPhone 6S also introduces a new hardware feature known as "3D Touch", which enables pressure-sensitive touch inputs. The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus set a new first-weekend sales record, selling 13 million models, up from 10 million for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in the previous year.[16]

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is an Android phablet smartphone. Unveiled on August 29, 2012 and released in October 2012, the Galaxy Note II is a successor to the original Galaxy Note, incorporating improved stylus functionality, a larger 5.5-inch (140 mm) screen, and an updated hardware design based on that of the Galaxy S III. The Note II was released to positive critical reception for its improvements over the original Galaxy Note, and sold over 5 million units within only its first two months of availability. Samsung announced a successor to the Galaxy Note II, the Galaxy Note 3, on September 4, 2013.[10]

The HTC One (codenamed and retroactively called M7) is a touchscreen-based Android smartphone designed, developed, and manufactured by HTC. The smartphone was unveiled on 19 February 2013 at press events in New York City and London and is HTC’s seventh flagship smartphone.[2] It is the successor to the company’s 2012 flagship model, the One X—which was critically acclaimed, but commercially unsuccessful due in part to insufficient marketing efforts. To make the device stand out among its competition, the HTC One was developed with a major emphasis on unique hardware and software features; which included a unibody aluminum frame, a 1080p full-HD display, dual front-facing stereo speakers, a camera with a custom image sensor and the ability to automatically generate montages of media, an updated version of HTC’s Sense user experience, BlinkFeed—an aggregator of news and social network content, and an electronic program guide app with the ability to serve as a universal remote via an IR blaster located in the device’s power button.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is an Android smartphone produced by Samsung Electronics and was first shown publicly on March 14, 2013 at Samsung Mobile Unpacked in New York City. It is the successor to the Galaxy S III which maintains a similar design, but with upgraded hardware and an increased focus on software features that take advantage of its hardware capabilities—such as the ability to detect when a finger is hovered over the screen, and expanded eye tracking functionality.[8][9] A hardware variant of the S4 became the first smartphone to support the emerging LTE Advanced mobile network standard.[11]

The LG G2 is an Android smartphone developed by LG Electronics. Serving as a successor to 2012's Optimus G and the 2013 Optimus G Pro phablet, the G2 was unveiled at a press event in New York City on 7 August 2013, and first released in September 2013. The G2 is primarily distinguished by software features that LG billed would "learn" from users, a high fidelity sound system designed to produce higher quality audio, a 5.2 in (130 mm) 1080p screen with technology that the company claimed would improve energy efficiency and reduce the size of the bezel around it, along with the unique placement of its power and volume keys—eschewing their typical location on the edge of a smartphone by placing them on the rear below the camera lens.

The Microsoft Lumia 640[4] and Microsoft Lumia 640 XL[5] are Windows Phone smartphones developed by Microsoft Mobile. Both phones were announced on March 2, 2015,[6] and are the successors to the Nokia Lumia 630 series and the Lumia 1320, respectively. The phones are primarily aimed at developing markets,[7] although they are also available in developed markets as lower-cost options compared to other phones in their classes. The two devices became available in the US and most other markets in June 2015.[8] On February 15, 2016, Microsoft announced the Lumia 650, the Lumia 640 successor, with improvements like device encryption, an AMOLED display, and 16 GB of flash storage.[1]

Samsung GALAXY) is a series of mobile computing devices designed, manufactured and marketed by Samsung Electronics. The product line includes the Galaxy S series of high-end smartphones, the Galaxy Tab series of tablets, the Galaxy Note series of tablets and phablets with the added functionality of a stylus, and the first version of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, with later versions dropping the Galaxy branding

Samsung Galaxy J5 is an Android smartphone produced by Samsung Electronics. It was unveiled and released in June 2015.[1] It has an advanced 64-bit class System on Chip (SoC) backed by 1.5 GB RAM. The Galaxy J5 has a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture, auto-focus and a 5 Megapixel wide-angle front facing camera which can extend up to 120-degree, also equipped with LED flash.[1]

A smartwatch is a computerized wristwatch with functionality that goes beyond timekeeping. While early models can perform basic tasks, such as calculations, translations, and game-playing, 2010s smartwatches are effectively wearable computers. Many run mobile apps, using a mobile operating system. Some smartwatches function as portable media players, with FM radio and playback of digital audio and video files via a Bluetooth or USB headset. Some models, also called 'watch phones', feature full mobile phone capability, and can make or answer phone calls[1][2][3] or text messages.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are Android smartphones manufactured and marketed by Samsung Electronics. The S7 series is a successor to the 2015 Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+, and was officially unveiled on 21 February 2016 during a Samsung press conference at Mobile World Congress, with a European and North American release scheduled for 11 March 2016.[4][5] As with the S6, the S7 is produced in a standard model with a display size of 5.1 inches, as well as an Edge variant whose 5.5-inch display is curved along the wide sides of the screen. The Galaxy S7 is an evolution of the prior year's model, restoring features from the Galaxy S5 such as IP certification for water and dust resistance, as well as expandable storage.
